I’m not a very impulsive person. Today, however, while driving down 66, I decided at the last second to get off at the Warrenton exit because….I wanted to find Skyline Drive? I dunno. I guess on some subconscious level I’m sick of the whole 66/81-for-two-hours thing I usually do.

Anyway, I haven’t gone that way in nearly 2 years, so I didn’t really know where I was going and what I was doing, but….well, the sun was setting, so I was like, “WEST IS THAT WAY!” and….followed the sun to Harrisonburg. I wish I was kidding.

Not a lot people took the scenic route today. I was alone for long stretches which was wonderful and terrifying at the same time.

Farms in Virginia are beautiful in the late afternoon, even in January.

I found myself in Shenandoah National Park. If you haven’t driven through there, you should because it’s beautiful, even in January.

Driving down/out of the mountains was fucking GORGEOUS. Everything was purple and orange and shiny and at that moment I realized getting myself lost was the best idea that I’ve had in a long time.

This is fantastic. I need to learn to be as impulsive as Sasha.
